Even though we try hard to steer clear of sweets with the kids most of the time, Ben has already developed a very strong sweet tooth. Abby was barely given a taste of desserts until she was 2-years-old; we gave in earlier with Ben, but still try to keep it to a minimum. But at Ben's age, Abby never asked for desserts and never seemed to mind if we ate them in front of her. Not so with Ben.
Case in point, tonight I was sitting at the computer when Ben came up beside me with a baking sheet in his hands (that he apparently got out of the drawer). He shoved it toward me, pointed at it and said, "Cookie, cookie!" And I don't even make cookies all that often! Also, at our potluck lunch at church every Sunday, I can no longer grab a plate of dessert before Ben is done eating or else he will not eat even one more bite of his food and will insist on, "Cookie, cookie, cookie!"
It's crazy how different these kids can be!
