After a loooong week of sickness at our house (a stomach virus that went from youngest to oldest, one at a time), the kids and I felt well enough this afternoon to take a walk in the sunshine and play a bit at the park while Daddy stayed home still feeling yucky.
If I am remembering correctly, this was Ben's first vomiting sickness (a dozen times in all for the poor little guy). I was so thankful Kevin was home that night, as it took both of us working non-stop to comfort Ben and keep up with the clean-up from his vomit every 20 minutes or so, especially since he refused to throw up in a bowl so we basically used towels and it still inevitably sometimes got on us, the floor, the couch, etc. Yuck. Selfishly, I am thankful that I got the least sick out of everyone (hey, I remember quite well what it was like vomiting all night long when I was 39 weeks pregnant last time!!). Having everyone sick one at a time pretty much wiped our whole week out, but it was nice to end the week on a good note and hopefully next week will go better!
