Abby went to the dentist for the first time yesterday. I'd gotten a coupon in the mail the week before and decided it was a good time for Abby to go. I explained to her what a dentist was and what they would do and she wanted to head out the door that minute and didn't understand why we had to wait for an appointment! :) Each day leading up to the appointment, I talked to her about what to expect and what tools the dentist would use. She also has a "fancy toothbrush" (a Sonicare brush) that her hygienist Aunt Deb gave her that I brush her teeth with every day, so she is somewhat used to a loud, vibrating feel in her mouth. Even so, I was a tad worried she might get a little freaked out with the new experience and surroundings. But she didn't. In fact, she did incredibly well! She was just about as perfect as you could expect a 2-year-old to be for her first trip to the dentist. Basically, she acted like a pro. I was such a proud mommy. :)

Way to go Abby! And good job to Mommy too for preparing her so well. :)
