Kitty Love

Abby and Calvin have definitely progressed in their relationship. She is so good to him (most of the time) and treats him gently and sweetly. He, in turn, is starting to really care for her. Calvin is not a cat who allows people to pick him up, but we have assured Abby that if she continues to be kind and gentle to him that someday he will sit on her lap like he does on Mommy's. We envisioned this not happening for at least another couple years (she's sooooo squirmy right now! :).

The other day, Ben was down for his morning nap, I was taking a shower, and Abby was watching a Veggie Tales video on the couch. When my shower ended, I heard Ben crying in his crib, so I quickly dressed and went to get him. When I entered the living room with Ben, this is what we saw:

I quickly grabbed the camera to chronicle this "huge event" in Abby's life (unfortunately the pictures did not turn out that great - photographing is always a difficult feat with a squirmy toddler in your arms!). Abby was incredibly pleased and excited that "Bubba" was sitting on her lap. She informed me that he had been doing this for a long time and they were watching Veggie Tales together. :)
