Gorgeous Hair

It just doesn't seem right for a 2-year-old to have such gorgeous, grown-up looking hair! I thought I would post a picture of the back of Abby's hair so you would know what I mean. In case you wondered, we've never cut her hair minus a couple snips around her bangs when she was a little baby. Although that made for some kind of strange in-between stages, I think the wavy, layered-like end result is so beautiful! I would love to have Abby's bouncy, soft, silky curls and that deep, warm brunette color, but I try not to get jealous of my 2-yer-old and instead be happy for her that she didn't get stuck with my drabby, brownish, straight, limp hair. =)

Pretty. It looks like you curled it. Do you know how to braid or have fun bows and clips? I often wonder what Coleson's hair would have looked like had he been a girl. If her hair is that long, his probably would have been to his waist! (which is a bit long for an active 2 year old :)) I am so curious if I get a girl if she will have hair like my boys... I really hope so! :)

Kristal, you can see my efforts at braiding in the pictures in the above post. Your comment inspired me to try my hand at it again this morning. I'm not very good. I tried multiple times to start the braids up high (like two french braids on each side), but just couldn't get it. The several times my friend Shauna has come to visit, she's whipped Abby's hair up into very cute arrangements - but I just can't seem to do it....can't do it with my own hair either. I'd totally be willing to take a class on it if there was such a thing! LOL! =)

Oh, and I didn't curl her hair in that picture even though it looks like it. It was recently after a bath, right after her hair had dried - that's when it is the curliest for her.

I had a book when I was little of how to do different hairstyles-braids extra. It was really easy with pictures and walked you through the steps. I'm sure they still sell something like that out there.
