I turned the Christmas music off in the kitchen and Abby called from the living room, "What happened? What happened to Abby's Christmas music?" Apparently, it's no longer my Christmas music, but hers. =)
As Abby sat in her highchair I heard her mumbling, "I'm a silly pickle," thanks to the peas calling Larry the Cucumber a 'silly pickle' on Veggie Tales.
"I want to go build snowman with Daddy!" We hear this at least a half dozen times a day.
Abby came up to Ben, put her hands on either side of his face and said, "I love you Ben." Ben cooed back and my heart melted.
"One bathroom, 'nother bathroom. I got two bathrooms. I got lotsa bathrooms!" I wish you could hear the inflection in her voice as she says "two" and "lotsa," as if that is an amazingly huge number of bathrooms. =)
Me: "Abby, are you walking in circles?" Abby: "No, I going in triangles."
Last night, Kevin and Abby were lying on the bed getting ready to read a bedtime story. I put Benjamin down on the bed and started putting his pajamas on. Abby said, "Slap him." I jerked my head up and looked at her in disbelief and then turned to look at Kevin's questioning face. He'd heard it too and was obviously perplexed. I was at a loss of what to do. Hesitantly, I asked, "Did you say 'slap him'?" Abby answered, "Slap him." How do I deal with this, I wondered, Why would she say such a thing? Then she repeated it again, and this time I finally realized what she was actually saying. I smiled big, "Oh! Snap him?! Mommy is snapping Ben's jammies on?" "Yeah," Abby answered, "Snap him." Phew, I sighed, as Abby pointed to his snaps and tried counting them. Slap and snap can sound almost identical coming out of a just turned 2-year-old's mouth. =)

Hahahaha! Slap him. Too funny, and I loved the way you wrote the story. And the "going in triangles" is great, too. I LOVE to hear what little ones are saying.
Get ready for an exciting year of talk! :) Cute stories.
I love that you shared with us the cute things that she is saying. This is one of my favorite posts! I especially like how proud she is of her bathrooms!
