I put off blogging about our Halloween because I didn't get any pictures of just the kids in their costumes....it took all the way until today due to busyness and rainy weather for us to finally get a chance to take some pictures outside.
My parents' church puts on a fantastic Harvest Fest each year and my mom and I had so much fun taking Abby and Ben there this year. Abby loved playing all the games and activities. Her favorite by far was the "cake walk." She loved following the numbers on the floor, but was a little confused about when to stop and go. I didn't win a single time, but Abby won the maximum two times.

Another highlight of the party was the hay ride around the neighborhood, complete with a tractor and trailer full of hay bales. What a fun experience for the kids!
The rest of the pictures were taken today. It was very difficult trying to get the kids to look at me - in vain, I did every crazy antic imaginable trying to get them to look at the same time! The sun being out didn't help much either. I tried to place them in some shadier spots, but I also wanted to get some fall foliage in there. And, of course, the whole photo shoot has to be done as quickly as possible before baby Ben starts to cry! =)
Pretty darn cute butterfly and chicken, eh? Oh, and by the way, my mom scored these adorable and quality costumes for only $2 each from Old Navy the day before Halloween thanks to an alert from a couponing/deal blog she follows! Not bad!

Oh. my. cuteness. Their costumes are sooo cute. We were all still recovering from being sick on halloween so we didn't go anywhere. :o( Maybe I could still dress them up and take belated pictures, though!!

is that EBCs harvest party? if it is, i didn't realize it, but mark told me recently that he started that tradition and they've been going since =). back in the old box maze days =). cute costumes! i got some for $2 too and ON costumes are super cute! i especially love the pink butterfly.
Yes, it is the EBC Harvest Party! And, yes, it is a tradition Mark started. They still do the cardboard box maze, but Abby is definitely not ready for that yet. =)
