Rite Aid - $4.79 Money Maker!
Transaction #1 (items on the left-hand side of the picture)
All I used was this Rite Aid $5 off $25 coupon here.
My subtotal was $30.43. Take the $5 off and my total came to $25.43. Add $2.59 for tax, for a grand total of $28.02. I will receive $30.43 back in a check via mail from the rebates, which brings the end result to a net gain of $2.41!!
Transation #2 on another day (items on the right-hand side)
I used another $5 off $25 coupon, a $1 off coupon for the Children's Throat Cooler, a Rite Aid $3 coupon and a manufacturer's $3 coupon for the Magnum 5 Razor, and a $1 off 2 bags of Hershey's candy that was in this past Sunday's coupon insert.
The razor was on sale for buy the razor, get the cartridges FREE plus a $2 Single Check Rebate (SCR). The bags of candy were on sale for $1.88 each (I got them for our church's Reformation Day party) and the other three items are free with the SCRs.
Total before coupons = $25.72
Total after coupons = $12.72 (plus $1.87 tax)
Total Rebates = $16.97
End result is a $2.38 money maker!! Plus, this will count toward Rite Aid's Fall Gift of Savings program that goes through 10/17/09 and brings me up to the next bracket in which I will get a $10 gift certificate to spend at Rite Aid. Pretty awesome!!
For a little more inspiration for you, the following is my run to Albertson's earlier this week:

Albertson's - $12.92 Spent, $52.53 Saved (80%)
They had two promotions going on, but this was all one transaction. The first promo (items pictures on the left) was buy $10 worth of participating items and get an instant $3 off. The second (items on the right) was the Quaker promotion in which you purchase 10 participating items and get an instant $5 off your total. The final two items in the middle (quart of Dannon yogurt and 6-pack of YoBaby yogurt) were marked down to $.99; I happened to have a $1 off coupon for each, so they were FREE.
Other than the yogurt coupons, I also used a $1/2 Aunt Jemima syrup, two $1/2 Healthy Harvest pasta coupons, $1/2 Quaker granola bars all from coupons.com, and a $.75/2 Zatarain's Rice coupon from a Sunday insert. (Going over my receipt just now I realize my $1/1 True Delights granola bars coupon didn't scan. Bummer!) You probably can tell that the hubby asked me to get the stuff on the right (Captain Crunch is one of his favorites) and the stuff on the left is more for me (Lavender Soft Soap, whole grain pasta, etc). =)
Hopefully this gave you some inspiration to get couponing! Now go get some deals and leave a comment to tell me all about it!
