Rolling Over

This evening Ben and I watched as Kevin and Abby sat on the living room floor, tossing a ball back and forth. I remarked to Kevin that I couldn't wait until Ben could sit up on his own because I'm hoping it will make him less fussy as he'll be able to do more on his own. I also commented that Ben should be able to roll over any time and asked Kevin which way babies usually roll over first - front to back, or back to front. Neither of us remembered, but Kevin suggested I show Ben how to roll from back to front. I did, and then within five seconds he surprised us by rolling right back onto his back! Apparently, he just needed someone to show him how to do it. We laughed and cheered and had fun while baby Ben did this several more times. Yay! Hopefully, we are on the road to a more-mobile, less-fussy baby. =)

Yay Ben! The typical way is front to back first .... but my boys do the back to front first (which is harder and takes more strength and isnt done till about 5/6 months generally) Tate's been doing it for awhile, already! Do you practice him sitting on his own often so he can strengthen those muscles? (not propped up on anything but just spotting him?) Fun new thing!

My girls went tummy to back. They would push their arms up and then kinda flop over. It is definitely cheer worthy, whichever way they roll.

Wow! In these photos I can tell what Ben would look like with beautiful brown eyes. I'll take him as he is with his sky-blue eyes. He's very handsome!! His doting Grandma.
