Hannah's Visit

Every time my niece Hannah comes to visit, she and Abby have more fun together. Her last visit was during her spring break in April and only three months later Abby has grown so much that they were able to play together on a whole new level. Although Hannah spent nights at my parents' house during her stay, she frequently came to our house during the day and we occasionally went to Grandma's house too so that Abby and Hannah got to spend a lot of time together.

Abby loved it when Hannah would read to her:

They played the piano together:

And they spent lots of time playing with Abby's toys in the living room, playing out in the backyard, playing with dolls at Grandma's house and going to the playground together. Hannah was great with Abby and I was able to leave them alone much of the time and would frequently hear giggles and laughter from the next room.

Hannah also was a huge help with Ben. She loved to rock him. When I came down with my second breast infection last week with a fever and aches for two days, Hannah was quick to tell Grandma that they should come spend the night at my house in order to help me with the kids because that is what Jesus would do. Isn't that sweet? We will miss all the fun we had with Hannah and also her willingness to serve and help.

My brother came to pick Hannah up and it was nice to get in a quick visit with him. He got to meet Benjamin and he even gave Abby her first horsey-ride (a ride on his back around the living room), which is something he did often with me with I was a little kid. Abby was a little unsure about the whole thing and didn't last very long, but I'm sure she'll get used to Uncle Dave's horsey rides soon!

so sorry about the mastitis. once you have it, your chances increase for having it again and again with each subsequent child. such a bummer! nice to have your mom nearby to help though. your little guy is such a cutie and getting SO big!!! you must be feeding him good, that's for sure =).

Oh man, that stinks to have a second one. I'm sorry. Hopefully it is the last time!
