Enjoying a nice, warm break from the weather inside at the South Pacific Aquarium.
Besides walking around looking at all the lights and visiting the aquarium, we also got to see the new Meerkat exhibit - Abby loved watching the little critters scurrying about! And my two nephews, who had to be dragged along into coming with us, ended having a good time and said it was fun (we told them so!). Abby had fun too, but the poor girl could barely move under all the layers we had her in tucked into the stroller. Zoo Lights was worth the drive, but I don't know if I'd want to make a yearly excursion out of it - going to the zoo just isn't as fun in the cold and rain! We can't wait for the weather to warm up this spring so we can go check out the Meerkats again! =)

zoolights looks beautiful! and wow...they've added so many additional lights since i went last (many years ago)!
have you ever been to spanaway lights? aaron and i started a tradition of going there each christmas...and it's great, because you get to stay in the warmth of your car and drive through a path lit up on each side with all kinds of lights and light structures (even a pirate ship)! i totally understand about walking out in the cold and rain of zoolights...i would usually spend the bulk of my time in the aquarium "warming up"...then quickly walk through all the lights :o]
glad you all had fun, though! and next year, check out spanaway lights, too...it's a blast!
I'm with ya with the cold and rain and the zoo not going well together. Brr. Glad there were pretty lights, family, and a Meerkat to make it all worth it.
