Bananas and Cheese

Bananas and cheese are Abby's favorite foods right now. She begs for "nana" or "ch, ch" if she hears someone say one of the words. She stuffs them into her mouth as fast as you can cut them into chunks. And she loves them so much that she often will refuse to eat anything else once a banana or some cheese is offered to her. Consequently, for several weeks we've resorted to spelling them so that she won't know what we are talking about. This morning, after Abby finished her cereal, I said to Kevin, "Do you think we should offer her some b-a-n-a-n-a now?" Immediately, Abby began chanting, "Nana, nana, nana!" and pointed across the kitchen to where the bananas hang. Who knew a 14-month-old could learn to spell? =)
