It's hard to believe that Jacob has been part of our family for only six weeks. He's fitting into our family so well that sometimes it seems like he's always been here! We continue to adore our littlest boy and can't get enough of the snuggling and cuddling. He is such a sweetheart! Anyway, here's a little update on how he's currently doing:
- Daily becomes more alert and interested in what's going on around him.
- Getting to be a pro at grabbing Mommy's hair if she doesn't have it pulled back.
- Loves his Daddy to hold him and bounce him while Daddy sings 70s songs or silly made-up ones.
- After having a few good 4-hour stretches a couple weeks ago, he is back to waking up every 2-3 hours each night. :(
- Refuses to be put on a schedule yet, but we're slowly working on it and trying to stretch out those feedings!
- Seems to be enjoying Mommy's dairy-free diet and is less fussy now. Yay! He does still tend to be very fussy every evening, but that's somewhat typical I suppose.
- Has had two colds already for 4 out of the 6 weeks of his life. Ugh. (This has probably contributed to his backtracking in the sleep department)
- As you can tell from his chubby cheeks in the picture above, he's healthy and growing like a weed!
