Saturday Highlights:
- Easter Egg hunts with the kiddos (two community ones and one at home with the cousins).
- Making "Bird's Nests" cupcakes with my daughter.
- A lovely and yummy dinner at our house.
- Stephen and Patti were able to join us (Stephen got his leg brace off the day before and just has bandages on his leg and foot now).
- Games, visiting and lots of playing with new Easter toys from Grandma and Aunt Holly.
- Beautiful, warm sunshine!!
- Celebrating Christ's resurrection at church!
- An attempt at getting a decent Easter picture of the kids.
- A calm, relaxing afternoon (naps for everyone!).
- Decorating Easter eggs with the kiddos in the evening.
The best attempt: Abby wanted to wear her Easter hat for the picture, but it wouldn't stay down because she was leaning against the couch; Ben wouldn't give up his Veggie Tales book and his face is bright red from the sun the day before (even with sunscreen, he burned - perhaps because his skin is extra sensitive from the rash?); and Jake is just plain slouched over (but how can you blame a 7-week-old for that? :).
