Tired Out

As has become fairly typical lately, Abby fell asleep the last few blocks of our walk this afternoon. What wasn't typical was the fact that even in her sleep she held on tightly to a leaf she'd picked up along the way. So cute! We have a generally-set route for our walk and have several special stops along the way, which include watching some chickens and visiting with two very friendly cats. One of the cats is about half-way through our walk so I frequently let Abby get out of the stroller for a few minutes to pet the kitty and give her a break from sitting. She often picks up a leaf and tries to stick in front of the cat's face (I don't know why!). Today she brought the leaf with her and held onto it all the way home, even in her sleep. I don't know what she is going to do when all the leaves from fall have disappeared! =)

She'll just have to learn to get the green leaves off the bushes!

I love how even little ones love/need routine. This is a cute picture. I am glad you are getting some nice enough weather for walking.

There will be lots to pick up in the summer, too! My kids find lots of "treasures" outdoors, but they must keep theirs outside!! My sil has an umberella holder by her front door for all her boys' special sticks!!
