Lately Abby's been making lots of use of the word "my" in regards to people. For instance, "Is my Daddy at the ocean beach?" or "My brother is awake now." Sometimes she even says it when she's directing her sentence to that individual rather than just talking about them, like saying to me, "My Mommy, I am hungry." And it's not just reserved for people. Whenever we turn onto our street, she says, "This is my street, right Mommy?" and then, "There's my park!"
We hear this almost every morning if the sun is shining through the windows, "Oh, it's sunny! I wish we could go for a walk today."
Abby noticed a new book on the coffee table that I hadn't read to her yet. She looked through the pictures and talked through what she thought was going on. When she turned to the page with a bird in a snowy scene she said, "The bird says, 'Oh! It's cold! I need my mittens!'"
About a half-hour after Abby went to bed, I heard some frantic crying from her room. I went into check on her and ask her what's wrong. She sobbed, "I need to put the blocks away!" Earlier we'd been picking up the toys in the living room, but never got back to finishing the job completely before bed. I'd already finished cleaning up and told her so, but she was still upset. So I brought her back out so she could see that they were all put away. She calmed down and finally went to sleep. Only Abby.
She often calls Kevin and me the same names that we call her, such as honey, darling, and sweetie. It always cracks me up when she says something like this to me: "Darling, is it time to eat lunch now?"
As it often is, KTTH 770 AM was streaming over the internet and into my kitchen, and Abby asked, "Is this the Michael Medved show?" I replied, "No, this is the Rush Limbaugh Show; Michael Medved will be on in the afternoon." "Oh," she acknowledged, "Rush Limbaugh," pronouncing everything perfectly by the way. Yes, she's getting her political training early! =)

Yes, the two year old possesion phase. It ALL belongs to THEM! ;) Coleson is coming out of that and recognizing whose is what and why! Oh, the details! =)
get that girl some Bill O'Reilly. That's the only conservative talk show that I support! :)
Aww she's so cute. How nice to have a girl who likes to clean up after herself. :)
Love 2 year old talk. Emma didn't talk very much at all until she was over 3 and a half or so. I feel like this communication phase is new for us and I'm enjoying it. Mandy talks non stop all. day. long. She says such funny things. Abby sounds very entertaining as well. Sure wish I had a child who needed things cleans. Instead, mine say, "We like messes." Arg.
