Last month, we bought another bookcase because we were tired of the stacks of books lying on the floor in Kevin's study. One thing that had been holding us back from doing it earlier was the lack of space in our house for another bookshelf (we already had a double bookcase in the living room, two bookcases in our bedroom and three bookcases in the study), but we managed to squeeze it in there and I don't think it looks too bad. Kevin put the bookcase together with two little helpers who thought the whole project was the one of the most exciting things ever!
As you can see, the new book case filled up easily and we even had to stack books on top. Can you tell that we love books? In fact I love books so much that I dream about someday building our own home with a library - floor to ceiling shelves all the way around, comfy reading nooks next to tall windows, several desk areas for studying. Ah, pure bliss!

Haha! I don't have bookshelves. I've been forced to stack books in closets, in crates, in boxes in the garage...
That must have been quite a pile of books if it more than filled that whole bookshelf. How fun to have your own library...although not quite as cozy as you describe, you look like you're halfway there at least!

that sounds like my kind of house. You haven't been to our house but we are constantly running out of room to put books. Love the "sleeping beauty" pictures too.
