Last week when it snowed, I thought that it had to be winter's last hurrah. After warm sunny days the week previous, the snow came as a surprise to us as we exchanged our short-sleeve shirts for snow suits. We got a good inch or so - plenty enough to build a snowman and pull the sled around the yard if you live in the NW.
It was truly Jake's first time in the snow, as the other two times it snowed this winter he was sick with a cold and thus I didn't take him out in it. He loved the sled, but didn't like walking in the snow...especially after he face-planted in it! He did his best to say "snow," pointing all around him and making the "sss" sound.
The snow was mostly melted by the late afternoon and we thought that was the last time we'd see it until next winter. So, imagine our surprise when the we looked out the window this morning to snow falling in the glistening sunshine peaking through the trees. Thankfully, it didn't stick this time, but, seriously, Winter, just give it up already and leave! We are so totally ready for springtime and warmer weather around here!
