Over the last month or so, I've manage to jot down a few of the cute things Abby says....
While naming the colors of a few items, Abby said, "Ben's bowl is kind of bluish." Bluish? Oh, the stuff she picks up!
And similarly while picking up a mini-pumpkin, Abby said, "This is yellow. This is very yellow." I said, "Mmm, actually it's orange." She replied, "It's a little yellow." Already she has to be right... ;o)
Abby says, "I'm helping the computer!" as she helps with her finger to "push" the status update bar on the screen as it moves to the right as a program is loading or a song is playing on MediaPlayer.
As I was putting Ben down to sleep, Abby and Daddy were in the hallway. Abby walked over to the cat and pointed at him and said, "Be quiet, Bubba. Ben napping. You can say meow," and then she whispered, "quiet meow."
Abby was looking for an item in Kevin's desk drawer and I overheard her say, "Dog-gone! It's missing!"
I looked at Abby lying on the carpet, wiggling around and asked, "Watcha doing, Abby?" She answered, "I'm being a ladybug!" It's her favorite thing to pretend to be these days.
Abby asked, "Mamma, can I have a pile of milk, please?" I said, "You mean a cupful of milk?" "No, a pile of milk," she responded. "Piles" of anything are her favorite way to group things.
I popped my head into the bathroom to see how Abby was doing and asked, "Did you go potty yet?" "Yep!" she quickly answered. Since lately she has been anti-potty training and trying to get off the toilet as soon as possible, I replied, "Are you telling me the truth?" Just as quickly, she answered, "Nope!"
After tucking her into bed, I started to leave the room and said one more time, "I love you, Abby." She replied, "I love you, Mamma. And I love Ben." I responded, "I love Ben, too." She then said, "I like Ben 'cuz I'm his sister." How sweet is that?

ok, the potty conversation had me laughing out loud!
and the last comment - SO adorable!!! what a fabulous little girl you have :o]
We should have a playdate so I can hear these things first hand. She is so quiet at church and in the nursery! =)
Kristal - It would probably take more than one playdate for Abby to come out of her shell - she's so shy around people she's not very familiar with!
awwwwwwwwwwwwww she's cute
