Yesterday, Abby and I met my friend Kirsten and her son Gavin at the movie theater to watch Veggie Tales: The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything. It's part of Regal Cinemas' Free Family Film Festival they put on every summer. From the end of June to the end of August, they show two different movies (one G and one PG) each week, on Tuesday through Thursday mornings. You can check out the locations and schedule here.
Abby grew bored of the movie fairly quickly (we've never shown her a kids video at home) and became more interested in watching the dust flecks that swirled in the light of the projector - she thought they were bubbles! But it was still fun to hang out with friends and to watch Abby soak up the new experience, not to mention watch her 25-lb little body trying to keep the seat from folding up on her over and over! =)
