Weekend Fun and Difficulties

The weekend started off going quite well. Abby was happy that Grandma got back home from being in Pasco for the week. She had several piano lessons with Daddy (as you can see, she now sits "on her own" at the piano!). She had fun playing with her cousins, Stephen and Ted, in the sunshine on Saturday. Aunt Rebecca showed Abby that a 2-liter bottle can be a really fun toy. And she did her best trying to steal a cookie from her Daddy.

Abby also experienced sitting in the grass for the first time:

Hm, what is this stuff? I think I like it!

But Sunday morning things took a turn for the worse. Abby and I both woke up with pink eye. Just as I was starting to get over my sickness from last week, I was hit with this new illness. I hope and pray that this is it and that we can soon put all this sickness behind us! To top it all off, Abby had her 6-month check-up today and the pediatrician decided it was fine to go ahead with her immunizations. So, Abby got to spend her 6-month birthday with sore legs (from the shots), her Mommy holding her down every few hours to get eye drops in her eyes (not easy!), and being forced to eat icky tasting Tylenol (for her slight fever from the shots). We decided that it wasn't a very fun way to spend her birthday!

Hope you girls get back to feeling better soon!
Abby doesn't like Tylenol? Oh my, Coleson loves it! Well, I shoudn't say he loves it because anything you offer he usually gobbles(!) but he takes it very willingly, always has!
