Maria has a brother, Lukas, who is about 2-months older than Abby, so their mommy Adrienne and I always enjoy getting our close-in-age children together. Unfortunately, getting four kids at these ages to smile and look at the same time is no easy task and did not happen on this occasion. Still, they're all pretty darn cute so it works somehow. :)

They all played lots of follow the leader on the "track," as they called it, that went around the playground.
And, of course, I took several pictures of my own adorable 2-year-old. He actually requested that I take the first picture below and sat down and posed for it. :o) Too bad it's kind of blurry and pixelated (it was fairly dark in the evening shade), because I just love his full smile that I rarely capture because he's usually so serious and intent on whatever he's doing.
Look at how big my no-longer-baby-boy is! It's bittersweet.
The lighting was just neat on this one, even with his hair sticking up from his nap that afternoon. :)
So, thanks to Maria's birthday we all had a lovely Saturday evening and an excuse to get together with friends that we don't get together with often enough (isn't that how it always is?). Well, almost everyone had a good time. Jake is not too excited about nursing in places other than home and is not content to just sit in the stroller. So, Adrienne and I took turns holding him so that our backs wouldn't get too sore. And, no, he's not much for the front pack anymore either. Pretty spoiled little guy, I'm thinking. ;)

Love them! You did a great job! I really like the one of Maria next to the fence. And I never think of taking pictures of things like just her tutu and skirt, which is odd, because I always tend to love shots like that. :o)
