Special Day

I let Ben go down much later for his nap this afternoon so that he could be awake when the concrete truck came to pour the foundation for a shed that Kevin is building in our backyard.

You can see how tired he is in the picture above, but he was definitely enjoying himself and was intent on taking in all the action. It was a great experience for him and I'm glad I decided to let him stay up later.

To top off the special day, we got to end it with a celebration for Daddy's birthday. Abby had fun picking out a balloon for Daddy all by herself (okay, so I did persuade her not to pick the Tinkerbell balloon which was her first choice :o) and, of course, she very much enjoyed the cake and ice cream that followed a special dinner Mommy made for Daddy.
