The other day, I came into Abby and Ben's room ready to put Ben down for his nap time, only to find that Ben had climbed into the playpen by himself and had brought a couple books along:
Bob and Larry's ABC's and
Hermeneutics: Principles and Processes of Biblical Interpretation. Um, yes, definitely two books that I would pick to read together. ;o)

The funny thing is that the hermeneutics book has become somewhat of an obsession with Ben for the last couple weeks. He is often found carrying the book around or sitting down and leafing through its pages. If I put it back on the shelf in Kevin's study, he is sure to find it again and bring it back out. I have no idea what he finds so intriguing about the plain brown cover and pictureless pages. Perhaps we have a theologian in the making? ;o)

Hanging out in sister's bed during our goodnight routine....holding onto, of course, his hermeneutics book.

Wow -- you start him young!
Ayla was always the same way with books! She ever prefers the ones without pictures. She fell asleep when she was one or two with "Stuart Little" draped across her chest.
