On a different day, once again on the toilet, Abby said, "I sit on the toilet without my bear seat [her old potty chair insert] because I'm getting bigger." Very excitedly she added, "Soon my butt will get bigger and it will be easier to sit on the toilet!"
Abby was noticing little, tiny hairs on her arms and happily said, "I'm getting hair on my arms and I'm getting hair on my legs because I'm getting big and I'm becoming a mama!"

Abby was bugging me while I was trying to do stuff on the computer, so I attempted to slyly get her to leave me. Thinking of a stuffed animal she had been playing with earlier that day, I said, "Abby, I think your horsey is lonely and wants you to go play with him." "Does he like me?" Abby asked. I replied, "Yes, he likes you a lot! He wants you to go give him a hug because he misses you." She started heading out the door and then turned around and said, "But he's not real, Mama."
Abby was asking me about when her baby brother would be arriving. I said something like, "He won't arrive until AFTER Christmas, and AFTER Daddy's birthday, and AFTER Valentine's Day, and then a few weeks after that he will be here!" And she replied, "And then he will be real?"
I asked Abby how she slept the first morning after she slept in her new bed (which happens to be right next to the baby monitor instead across the room like her crib was). She said, "Good, except I kept hearing Benny in the monitor really loud since I was so close to it and he kept waking me up!" I explained to her that the sound only went one-way and that no sound came OUT of the end in their bedroom. Her reply: "Oh."
As she popped a goldfish cracker into her mouth, Abby asked me, "Mommy, do these fishies come from the ocean?"
As I drove along in the car, Abby said, "Can you turn my music off?" So I reached for the dial and turned it off. Not more than two seconds passed, when Abby asked for it to be turned back on again. I audibly sighed and Abby quickly said, "I love you, Mama!"
The kids were playing in their room with the door shut, but we could hear them over the baby monitor. Abby began counting to Ben, and with only one or two mistakes made it all the way to 20, calling the last number "twenty-teen" and saying it several times. :) And then she said, "Those are all the numbers there are to count, Benny!"
