Pregnancy Update

I'm at the half-way mark! Although things have improved greatly, I still have to fight morning nausea and it's a rare moment that I'm not at least a little bit queasy. But thankfully, the debilitating sickness is past and I'm starting to get caught up on some projects around the house. I've gained about 12 pounds so far and there's no hiding the baby bulge anymore! On my list of things to do today is to get my maternity clothes out, as very few of my regular clothes fit anymore and the few that never made it into storage last time have been getting quite a lot of use the last couple weeks.

Since I was sick all the way through my pregnancy with Abby but not with Ben, I was beginning to think that perhaps this baby would be a girl. Well, much to everyone's disappointment, it was not to be. We are having a boy and we are learning to be excited that Ben will have a little buddy to play with. :) Ben is completely oblivious to the fact that there is a baby growing in me, but Abby is quite excited. She loves to talk about helping with her new baby brother when he gets here, where he will sleep, what he will look like....and then she almost always goes onto to talk about how someday she will also get a baby sister who she can pass on all her clothes to. Hmmm...

I think it's so sad to see "much to everyone's disspointment!!" but I am glad to also see that you are all learning to be excited...brothers are such a neat relationship to watch!
