Field Trip

Ever since we went to the March for Life rally on the Capitol building steps in January, Abby has been asking to go back the Capitol. She had been so impressed with the height of the Capitol and wanted to return to climb up the steps and see what was inside. So today we decided to just go for it (it's handy living so close!).

Abby *finally* at the Capitol!!

Mommy, of course, couldn't pass up the photo opportunity and we did a quick shoot on the steps:

Once inside, Abby was amazed by all the sights - marble floors, lots of stairs, the gold seal of our state on the floor of the rotunda, the many chandeliers, etc. There was lots of looking up....

and down...

When I asked Abby about her favorite things about the visit to the Capitol, she said "It was pink!" (the sides and ceiling of the rotunda dome are predominately pink - I should have taken a picture!), "the pretty floors" (the marble), and "It was SO BIG!"
