Kevin got the swing down from the attic the other day. The batteries were dead and we didn't have on hand the four D batteries it required. I put baby Ben in the swing anyway and gave him a couple pushes. Abby watched and saw right away a job for her to do. Now, whenever I put Ben in the swing, Abby is quick to step in and do the pushing. It sure saves money and time rather than having to go buy D batteries. But the only problem is that Abby is way stronger than four D batteries so I can't leave the room and have to supervise as I keep reminding her, "Gently, Abby! Little pushes, little pushes!" or she gets a bit carried away. =)

Oh, I remember this well. Siblings can be such a help. The Johnny-jump-up was not possible for baby #2 because her sister though giving under-dogs was fun.
That is so sweet. I have pictures of Gene dragging Kevin on a blanket as he drove his motorized car.
