which albertsons did you go to that the $5 catalina still printed even though you used coupons? i tried it both ways (spending $25, then using coupons and spending less), and the catalina didn't print the 2nd time! so, we went to customer service and the lady said that we actually had to SPEND $25, as in using coupons to make the total less wasn't following the promo rules. that didn't make sense to me, but it's good that you had success with it!
Andrea, I haven't done it yet. I plan on going to the Tumwater Albertson's today. I only wrote that because that is what two bloggers said. But now that you've alerted me to the issue (I agree that it's weird it wouldn't follow the same rules as the other Albie's promos), I will probably not use coupons - it will save me some time anyway since I haven't collected the coupons yet! =)
