We had a great turn-out (State Patrol estimated at 4-5,000) on this sunny afternoon. Apparently, it was the largest rally held at the Capitol in several years. Chants of "Stop spending my money!" and "No more pork!" rang out. It was fun to be part of a lively group of like-minded individuals who respectfully and peacefully protested.

Some person running for some office gave this flag to Abby - she loved waving it around. She also noticed the large American flag flying above our heads on the flag pole and looked back and forth several times between it and her little flag (I'm always amazed at the connections she makes without anyone pointing them out!).
But most of the time, Abby had fun walking around on the grass behind the crowd - we were thankful Grandma came along so that we could enjoy listening to the various speakers while Grandma walked with Abby. =)
