This past weekend we visited several family members. On Friday, Abby and I went with my parents and my sister Rebecca to go visit my Aunt Doris (my dad's sister) who lives on Mercer Island. She hadn't been able to come down to meet Abby yet due to a broken arm in December and a small stroke last month, so we decided we would just go see her! We had a fun, but quick visit. We didn't arrive at her house until about one o'clock and had to leave at three because dad wanted to try to beat the Seattle-Tacoma traffic....which we didn't - it took over two hours to get home. But Abby did very well during the car ride and visit, which made her Mommy very proud. =)
On Saturday, Kevin and I took Abby out to Grayland for a much overdue visit with his parents. We were also able to sneak in a quick visit with Kevin's Grandma who lives nearby. We didn't get a chance to go down to the beach (less than a mile away - it kills me every time!), so Abby's first glimpse of the ocean will have to wait for another occasion.
