We enjoyed a visit from some of our Oregon cousins yesterday. Unfortunately, yesterday turned out to be the rainiest day of the week. Seven kids in our small house for almost a whole day gets a bit rowdy at times, so we headed over to the park despite the drizzly weather (plus our farm cousins are a bit more adventurous in the outdoors than we are! :). It ended up as a full-out downpour by time we were done and on the walk back home Abby said, "Let's just go to the park on nice days." :)

Thank goodness for Benny's Thomas the Train track that he got for Christmas from Uncle Dave - it saved the day when we brought it out in the late afternoon by providing much entertainment to the older boy cousins who got bored pretty quickly with all the "little kid toys" in our house. :)
Thanks for making the drive up, Jayne and kids! We enjoyed the break from our everyday, somewhat boring and more quiet, suburban life. ;)
