Highlights from the last week or so...

I forgot to post some pictures from Kevin's nephew Josiah's graduation party last Sunday. The weather was perfect (a rarity these last few weeks). I was basically stuck with the kiddos in the playground area the majority of the time, but I still got a few chances to catch up with old friends from a previous church we attended and visit with Kevin's family. It was a very nice party.

Last Wednesday was my final day of my photography class. It was nice not to have to get up yesterday morning and head to class, but I will definitely miss the class too. It was one of the most fun and least stressful classes I've ever taken. I'll post pictures of my final project later this week.

On Saturday, we went to the Imagination Celebration at our local library. It was supposed to be more of a block party, but most of the activities ended up being inside the library because it was raining. I have never been in such a crowded and loud library before - I felt bad for anyone that was there to actually read or study! There were lots of crafts to do, blocks to play with, free brand-new books to choose from, service dogs to pet, music performances to watch, blocks to play with, etc. The kids had an absolute blast and did not want to leave even though they were obviously exhausted and needing their naps.

We also celebrated my nephew Solomon's 4th birthday and I made him a "car cake with a road on it," as per his request. :)

Kevin's been gone fishing quite a bit lately, but we had fun getting our first picture straight from the ocean emailed to us from Stephen's new cell phone. Daddy wanted to be sure that I told Abby that the salmon was as big as she is!
