First Day of Summer
We've been having some pretty lousy June weather this year, so it was no surprise that the First Day of Summer felt and looked more like winter than summer. But the kids and I did take advantage of the extra long daylight and went for an evening walk. Abby talked me into walking all the way down to the lake, but I did not give in when she asked that we walk all the way to the Capitol building. :) We had fun and even got to see a crane on the water's edge, but time got away from us and we didn't get home until 9pm!! Yikes! :)

That's a long walk. We get carried away with the time too. Even though I really like to have the kids in bed early, I love the long evenings too. Just wish they were WARM evenings. Brrr. It's been so cold here too. It's hotter in Alaska than it is here.
