February Activites - 2015 (Part Two)

Lizzy turned 6-months-old on a Sunday in February that was unusually warm so we tried to take a few pictures outside but then moved inside since the sun ended up being to bright anyway.  I'm bummed I never got around to writing a 6-month post, so I can't remember much to share other than the fact that she wasn't sitting yet and she loved getting to eat solid foods for the first time earlier that week (bananas, maybe? Or avocados?? I can't remember!).

Jake, of course, wanted in on the picture action and I love how this picture shows the resemblance between these two.

Hey, a picture of Kevin! By mid-February crab season was slowing down some, so we enjoyed Kevin being home a couple days a week.

On President's Day, we and half of Olympia headed to Priest Point Park....okay, I'm exaggerating, but it was busier than I've ever seen it there before! It was such a gorgeous day for winter! We met my brother and his kid's there since they had the day off school, and we also ended up bumping into my friends Kirsten and Candace while we were there.

My brother and his daughter.
After playing on the playground (Lizzy took her first ride in the swing....she wasn't terribly impressed), we walked the trail down to the waterfront. You can't tell from my pictures, but there were at least 30 people down there! It was almost surreal how it was so warm and yet everything looked so dead since it was winter - it confused my brain and senses for sure!

We got so warm down by the water that the kids even waded in it and played in the mud. Crazy!

Looking back now, I'd have to say that although I really enjoyed the mild winter we had and all the lovely warmer than usual days, we paid for it with having more spiders in the house this summer and early fall than ever before. NOT fun. I HATE spiders.
