We had what I thought was a breakthrough with our nursing issues with Lizzy when she was four weeks old. I was still dealing with a good amount of post-partum depression, so when the idea came across my mind that I could drive the kids out to Westport myself to stay with my in-laws and get to see my hubby for at least a few minutes, I went for it! We're talking one hour from idea to driving out of the driveway! And it was good. Hung out with Daddy even longer than expected (a few hours), went over to the beach for a bit and enjoyed the view, and then watched Kevin's boat head out to sea. It was lovely. I was so excited that I could finally nurse like a normal person (no pumping and bottling each feeding session), but my joy was short-lived. Just a few days later my milk started drying up, because apparently Lizzy's suck is so weak it does not provide enough stimulation to keep up my milk supply. So disheartening. It was back to pumping and bottling...and staying at home. :oP
Checking out Kevin's new bait tank:
Nursing on the beach! How I wish this could have lasted! :(
A glimpse of Kevin's boat....I watched until it went out of sight. Fun but sad.
The following weekend was my dear nephew's wedding. Can't believe my little Stephen is all grown up and married! WOW! The wedding was perfectly lovely and I was so happy for Stephen and Patti. Abby was a flower girl and both boys (along with cousins Aiden and Solomon) were ring bearers (well, Solomon and Ben actually carried up lanterns and the little boys carried ring boxes).
I have no idea why this picture won't go up correctly! :(
And here's a couple pictures from everyday life. In the first Ben, is sitting and watching the "show" - the neighbors getting a bunch of their bushes cut down with a saw and then chipped in a wood chipper. Fun stuff for a 5-year-old boy!!
And a rare picture with Lizzy. :) The kids absolutely adore their baby sister!

I had to be very purposeful to take pictures of Casper as a baby. It is hard with the more kids, the more you have going on. I'd imagine four is even more so.
Your pictures are so lovely. You have a way of capturing life that is really refreshing and real. Your family is beautiful.
The wedding looks beautiful!
