On Memorial Day, my brother Dave took us out on his new boat. It was a spur of the moment thing - he called me up and asked if the kids and I could get down to the marina as soon as possible for a ride in his boat. I was thinking an hour or two....but he had us out there for 5 1/2 hours! We had tons of fun and it all worked out, but my brother and I have obviously differing views on what entails a "boat ride." ;o)
My parents came along too and my dad did nearly all the driving for the day.
Sometimes it poured down rain and other times it was sunny and other times just cloudy, but the smooth as glass waters! We spent a good deal of time out on the deck when it wasn't raining.

I'm not very often spontaneous, but I was so glad we dropped everything and took my brother up on his offer. What a fun time! It's too bad the boat will be going up to Alaska soon (Dave is going to be living on it the every other two weeks that he works up in Alaska), because we could get real spoiled with fun outings like that!
