The kids haven't been able to enjoy many of the partially-sunny days we've been having lately because of their illness, but the last couple days we've been sure to spend some time outside now that they're feeling better. Today, Ben asked to eat lunch outside. It's too cold, I said, and it's too early in the year for a picnic. But the boy kept begging and even pulled the picnic table and chairs out onto the lawn from their winter spot propped up against the side of the house under the eaves. So, I thought, why not? Surprisingly, the kids ate more food than they normally do so I was happy. And I had to admit...it was kind of fun to have a picnic in February. :)
