10 on 10

A friend of mine has done "10 on 10" (10 pictures on the 10th of the month) many, many times and I've thought it looked fun to do but I've never remembered to do it! Well, this morning I snapped a picture and for whatever reason I realized it was January 10th and so, by golly, I was excited to finally get a chance to do it myself! I think that the original idea behind it was to snap a picture at the top of the hour no matter what you were doing. Well, I rarely remembered to do one right on the hour...and other times I remembered, but, believe me, you wouldn't want me to take picture at that moment anyway (I don't think even a fabulous photographer could make changing a poopy diaper look beautiful! :). But it was still a fun challenge and made me take pictures of things I wouldn't normally and it's a neat way to journal a typical day for us. So, here we go, my 10 pictures taken throughout today:

A little cruising after breakfast.

Contentedly looking at books, but the cars/machines are never far from this little boy!

I checked on Abby and Kevin who were resting (they have the sinus infection that I am just recovering from).

Washing dishes after lunch - this is my view in my kitchen window.

A little playtime before afternoon nap.

As soon as I put the big kids down for their nap, I saw the sunshine and couldn't resist getting some fresh air with Jake. We walked around the back of the house where I snapped this picture of a stack of crab pots on Kevin's truck.

Once Jake went down for his nap, I gathered up the remaining Christmas decor and got everything put away in the garage.

Outside Kevin was repairing some crab pots and I took this picture as dusk settled.

Dinner. (I am horrible at food pictures!)

Bathtime: Jakey's favorite thing to do! He crawled all the way from the living room as soon as he heard the water turn on.
