My good friend Leah was in town from Florida for a week earlier this month. We go all the way back to middle school and clocked a lot a hours together from 7th through 12th grades. But ever since she left for college right after high school, she has only returned for quick visits. Thankfully, her parents and sister live in town or I'd never get to see her! Apparently, she'll finally be done with college next summer (with her doctorate!), but I don't know if I can believe her after all these years! =) And, of course, I keep trying to convince her to move back to Olympia when she's done.
Anyway, Leah and I were able to get together three or four times between me being busy and her visiting with her brand new baby niece. We didn't do anything terribly exciting - we went for a walk, did a little shopping, and I even got her to help for a little while with the Tally Ho mailing (see Sara's Sweatshop below). After she left my house her last evening in town, I realized that we never even took one picture together. I called her up and suggested that if she planned to go out again that night, she should stop by for us to get that picture - after all, my blog readers were expecting it (this picture is especially for you, Candace!)! And as you can tell, she came and we finally got a picture. It's funny how I forget to take pictures of adult friends, but I've got zillions of pictures of Abby and Calvin. I guess you have to be cute, cuddly and small to get a picture at my house!
